ECU swimming embodies the values of the school and collegiate athletics. Our coaches emphasized from the time that we stepped on campus that we were all student-athletes, with student coming first. ECU swimming and diving regularly has the highest GPAs among the other athletic programs. And, many of us have taken what we learned in our swimming careers at ECU and gone on to become leaders in our industries and our communities across the country.
ECU is the center of the community in Greenville and Pitt County. ECU Swimming and Diving regularly gives back to the community through their service and volunteer activities. Last year, the team contributed more than 500 hours of community service through organizations that include the Pitt County Special Olympics and Food Bank.
We are committed to clearing the path to make the swimming and diving programs financially viable for the university. You’ve probably heard that we have secured more than $500,000 in pledged donations in just a few days, and we’re just getting started.
We want to work together to restore these proud programs. Help us identify the resources needed to sustain them, and let’s work collaboratively to address the challenges. The efforts over the past week have shown we’re equal to the task.
